Carlo Chiarizia, beloved husband of Christina Chiarizia, passed away peacefully at the Mineral Springs Hospital in Banff, Alberta on
January 27, 2013 at the age of 91 years.
Born in Sepino, Campobasso, Italy in 1921, he immigrated to Canada
in 1956. Carlo worked hard to bring his wife and son Michael to Canada
in 1958. He resided in Exshaw, Alberta, starting a long career with
CP Rail. Carlo then moved the family to Banff in 1970, where he and Christina continued to reside. Carlo worked hard his entire life to support his family in Canada, and delighted in their individual success.
Carlo is survived and severely missed by his wife Christina;
son Michael, Daughter-in-law Terry, Grandchildren Lee and Daniel; sisters Louisa (Sepino, Italy), Christina (Montreal),
Maria (Enfield, Conn), and brother Alfred (Sepino, Italy).
Carlo was predeceased by his sisters Thomasina and Julia,
and his brother Antonio.
The family wishes to extend many thanks to Dr. Nancy Blaney,
Dr. Wally Bryson, and the Mineral Springs Hospital nursing staff.
Vigil prayers and tributes were held on Thursday, Jan 31, 2013
at 7 pm in Our Lady of the Rockies Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canmore with Funeral Mass on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 am also at Sacred Heart Church.
