Brian M. de Ruiter, 52, of Edmonton and Canmore, passed in the beautiful Alberta Rocky Mountains. A second home to him and his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 17 years, Torrie; his daughters, Jenna (Josh), Keira (Ben), and Makayla (Geoff); his grandchildren, Karter, Aria and Ava; his siblings Joanne (Clarence), Winnie, Len (Joanne), and Henry; and his extended relatives, friends and colleagues. Brian is predeceased by his dear parents, father Dirk (Dick) de Ruiter, and mother Johanna de Ruiter (nee Herstel).
A memorial service was held August 31, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church, Edmonton. A Celebration of Brian's Life then occurred at The Derrick Golf and Country Club.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Foothills Medical Center Emergency and ICU, as well as the Southern Alberta Organ and Tissue Donation Program, for all the love and care shown to Brian and his family.
