It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Betty Reinhardt who passed away peacefully on May 1, 2019. Betty spent her childhood in Didsbury before moving to Banff and adopted it as her home. Betty shared her infectious smile and strong bear hugs with everyone she met. No one can forget a hug from Betty.
Betty's kind heart and inexhaustible energy led her to persue various jobs in Banff. She worked as a caregiver and housekeeper for several Banff families and could be seen delivering the Calgary Herald in the early mornings. Her afternoons were often spent strolling the town in the company of a furry friend. Betty loved all animals, especially dogs, and we want to thank all the volunteers who bring their pets to St. Martha's Place for a visit.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the staff at Banff Mineral Springs Hospital, the EMS staff and the Banff Fire Department. Another very special thank you to her family at St. Martha's and to her doctor, Mette Hoegh-Petersen. Your friendship, kindness and gentle care made
St. Martha's a special place for Betty. She loved all of you.
In lieu of flowers a donation to St. Martha's Place would be greatly appreciated.
A celebration of Betty took place on Friday, May 17, 2019
at the Banff Senior's Center, 101 Bear Street.
Friends were invited to come and share a story.
