Elizabeth (Betty) Fitzgerald, lifelong resident of Canmore, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 58 years, Ted; daughters Connie (Curt) and Tina; son Tim (Anna) and grandchildren Trevor, Erica, Bradley, Michelle, Liam, Ethan and Jaxon. She is also survived by her sister Audrey and many other dear relatives.
Her children and grandchildren were always on her mind. She loved to spend her summers with Ted, family and friends at Shuswap Lake and thoroughly enjoyed reading a good book.
A Vigil Prayer service was held at Our Lady of the Rockies Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canmore at 7:00 pm, Thursday,

A Funeral Mass for Betty was celebrated at Our Lady of the Rockies Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am, Friday,
March 30, 2012 followed by interment in the Canmore Cemetery.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. A. Reed and the staff at the Canmore General Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Betty may make donations, in her memory, to the Canmore and Area Health Care Foundation, 1100 Hospital Place, Canmore T1W 1N2 for use in the Canmore Hospital or the Kidney Foundation of Canada,
