Sadly, Arthur Joseph Fry died suddenly in Scotland at the age of
92 years. He is greatly missed by his wife Nora and two sons.
Art and Nora spent over thirty years visiting Canmore and on Art's retirement lived here for nine years. He will also be remembered for doing a little substitute teaching at The Laurence Grassi School many years ago.
They returned to Nora's native Scotland but visited Canmore for three months each year. Art loved his mountains, the beautiful scenery particularly the autumn colours along with the wild life and although unable lately to return, he relived the Rockies adventure through viewing DVD'S.
Art had many talents but his pastime was to do oil paintings of the mountain scenes particularly the Three Sisters. His gravestone has an etched picture of the Three Sisters which he painted.
