Banff is one big grin lighter today as Archie has left town, not to Mesa Arizona this time, but instead to join up with his beloved Alice, yet again!
Archie came to Banff in 1946 where destiny filled his days slinging lumber at Unwin's and his nights slinging draft at the Cascade.
Archie loved the horse races at Stampede Park; wetting his fishing line in the high country; a game of curling or snooker with old pals; Laughlin Nevada; Black '56 Mercs; a cold beer on a hot summer day on his Beaver Street veranda; and most of all - GOD.
Rather than shedding a tear, please take a moment to remember Archie today by smiling his infectious smile at someone, preferably a stranger. This would make him very happy, just as darn near everything in life did.
The world truly needs more Archie kindness.
R.I.P. Dad
