Annie Kazimer

Annie Kazimer, possibly the oldest living person born in Canmore, passed away at the Bethany Care Center in Cochrane where she had been a resident for the past several years.

Predeceased by her husband William (Mousie) in 1996 and her son Bill in 2011, Annie is survived by her daughter Fran (Richard) Eklof in Cochrane and her daughter-in-law Gail Kazimer in Canmore. Annie is also survived by her grandsons Darren Eklof in Canmore, Mike (Chris) Eklof in Stoney Plain, Danielle (Eric) Rajah in St Albert and Stacy Kazimer (D.J. Howatt) in Canmore. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Kara Lipisichak, Samantha and Evan Eklof, Madie Howatt, Tyra and Shane Rajah.

Annie was born, grew up and lived 94 years in Canmore. She loved gardening, camping, playing cards and most of all, loved her family.

A great day for Annie was cooking and having everyone over for dinner. She was a great Mom, Grandma and Baba.

She will be sadly missed.

Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering

will be held and she will be laid to rest with her loving husband

in the Canmore Cemetery.

Friends wishing to remember Annie are encouraged to make a donation, in her memory, to Bethany Care Center, 302 Quigley Dr, Cochrane, AB T4C 1M2 where she received such loving and compassionate care in her final years.
