In the morning of November 19, 2014, Anne passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary with her family by her side following a long battle with lung disease and diabetes.

She was 66 years old.

Anne is survived by her loving daughter Tina Lyon (son in law Al Girard) of Canmore, Granddaughter Samantha Hofman (husband Dave Chambers) and her pride and joy Asher (her great grandson) of Exshaw, as well as her brothers Tom Lyon of Calgary and Pete Lyon of Peace River and nephew Jeremy Lyon in Saskatchewan and niece Nicky Ristov in Calgary. Anne also leaves her Dog of 12 years, Oliver and her Bird, Buddy.

Anne was predeceased by her wonderful husband Don in 2013, her mother Thelma Ransom, her father John Lyon and her brother Bill.

Anne was born July 13, 1948 in Beaverton, Ontario. She moved to Alberta in her twenties where she met and married the love of her life. Anne and Don raised their family in Exshaw, while she worked at the Seebee store, the gas station in Morley, as well as cooking at University of Calgary field station in Kananaskis and worked for 12 years at the Bow River Seniors Lodge in Canmore.

Anne made many friends over the years and she would do

anything for anyone

We would like to thank the ICU doctors, nurses and staff at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary as well as her doctor in Canmore,

Dr. Mark Hawkins and all the doctors and nurses, paramedics and

fire department in Canmore for all the assistance over the past year.

Many special thanks go out to Heather & Doug Bushulak, Reinhardt

& Sharon Bohnsack, Sandy Moffatt, Wilma Bushulak, Janet Hoffart,

Sandy Magee and Donna Heath as well as many, many others.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Anne's life was held

on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the lounge at the Bow River

Senior's Lodge.
