Alice Saltiel-Marshall

Alice Saltiel-Marshall was born to humble beginnings in the inner city

of Toronto and passed as a revered artist in her beloved Rocky Mountains on February 20, 2019. She leaves a legacy of art, kindness and love that will be remembered whenever we see a magnificent flower bursting with colour, sun rays on the mountain peaks, reflections on pristine mountain water and when the sunset paints the sky with glorious shades.

From the beginning of her days with husband Bill, art and travel filled their lives. Alice always enthusiastically sought out, created and celebrated beauty at every twist and turn. Their adventures began by travel in Europe and selling artwork on Bayswater Road in London, England. On their return to Canada her artwork reflected their life style from western ranching to the mountain back country. While living in Canmore their travels continued to Italy, Spain, Turkey Thailand, Chile, Nepal and Southern France.

The brightness of her personality shines through in the colours of her paintings and images she has left behind for all of us to enjoy. May we smell the scent of her legendary apple pies, see her uplifting smile that brightened every room and feel her excited spirit. The joy that she brings to life will remain with us and the countless people she calls friends.
