Adelinde Wood

Adelinde Wood (nee Brandl) passed away peacefully and surrounded with love on May 12, 2020 in Banff at the Mineral Springs Hospital

at the age of 92 years.

Linda was born in Plottonitza, Roumania on January 22, 1928.

After fleeing the war and travelling through Europe she immigrated

to Canada via a 9 day voyage, arriving in Quebec City in 1949.

She met Dennis, her beloved husband of 64 years in Montreal where she raised their 2 sons. She moved west in 1978 with Dennis, living in Creston BC, Banff, and then residing at Bow River Seniors Lodge for her final months.

Linda is survived by her two sons, John (Barbara) & Peter (April),

5 grandchildren - Sarah, Tyler, Ryan, Michael & Jack, and 6 great grandchildren – Noah, Orson, Otto, Benjamin, Naiomi, Zackery

and her siblings – Arthur, Angela and Erna.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held when all her family and friends can gather.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of the Seniors Lodge, Homecare, and her Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital for the loving care provided to Linda in her final days.
